Little did I realize what effort it would take to snap a few pictures and write about them. I have much respect for my friends who blog weekly!! I will now share a few pictures from the past couple of months... (And yes I know some of the pictures are sideways, but I don't know how to fix them.)
Yes, sad but true, Brandon is a 7th grader. He is happy that the dress code at his school has been reduced so he can show his Bronco spirit. (I'm sure the people at the school wonder if he wears the same clothes everyday, he doesn't, he just has too much Bronco wear.)
While at Cameron's football practice Amy was sitting on a tackling dummy and playing with a friend, somehow she ended up being pushed to the ground and hitting her head. I was at back to school night and Steve was in charge. Amy can tend to be a drama queen so when she cried for an extended period of time he wasn't too concerned. Forty minutes later she started throwing up, over and over again. After a call to the pediatrician I took her into the emergency room and she had a mild concussion. The only thing to do for her was to make sure she didn't hit her head again soon. So much to her dismay - no bike, limited money bars, etc.
You'll also notice the beautiful flower pots in the background. My parents came at the end of May. Dad planted flowers and put them on an automatic sprinkler so they actually got water!! I had many compliments on them. Hopefully he'll come out next spring to do them again!!
My aunt and uncle stopped in Denver for four nights and three days on their way to Oregon. We were so happy to have them come!! Amy sold otter pops at one of Cameron's football games and was very anxious to count her money all of the time. Aunt Nancy was very patient as they counted money over and over again.
With Aunt Nancy and Uncle Al in town we took the opportunity to take our annual trip to Estes Park to see the elk. You can't be married to a man from Montana and not look at elk in the fall. One of the boys took this picture -- we don't know the lady, but the elk were very close to our picnic area. While we were picnicing we also saw a golden eagle grab a fish out of the lake and start to fly. The fish was so heavy that the eagle dropped it. It was so cool to watch!! After picnicing in Estes we drove through Rocky Mountain National Park (thanks to Uncle Al's free pass!) Where we saw lots more elk!
Cameron has been off-track for the past three weeks. One of the things he wanted to do was go to the Lamborughini dealership. Who knew that these cars cost more than our first house, that no one can sit in them or touch them unless they plan to buy. Cameron thought he could afford buying a small, inch by inch, sticker. It cost $8. Even Cameron thought that was out of line. This was the first car dealership where I wasn't attacked by salesmen. I guess we didn't look like "real" buyers.
After two failed attempts we were finally able to celebrate Wilma's 82nd birthday today. Wilma has been an important part of our family for many years. She started sitting with us in church when Cameron wasn't even one year old. She attends many sporting events, concerts, school functions and is a grandma to our children. We love her very much!!
Tell Cam that a few years ago a local man had a Ferrari parade. At the time he had the largest private collection of Ferraris in the US. He even had a car that he bought from Nicholas Cage. It was great, but I can't see paying 2+ million dollars for a car.
